Counter Staff

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Counter Staff member to join our team in providing excellent customer service and assisting in food preparation at our bustling restaurant.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision
- Prepare simple food items such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the counter area and dining space
- Uphold food safety standards and regulations at all times
- Utilise basic maths skills for cash handling and order processing
- Assist in the kitchen with food preparation tasks if needed
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demands promptly

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the culinary or restaurant industry is advantageous
- Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Capability to assist in kitchen tasks during busy periods

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
