Working closely with the Housemaster/Housemistress and the residential team, the primary responsibilities of the Matron will involve overseeing the well-being of boarding and day pupils aged 13 to 18. Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues is crucial to fostering a warm and nurturing environment for our young residents.
Joining Gresham's presents a unique opportunity for children to start their educational journey at our Nursery and Pre-Prep School at age 2 and progress through our Prep and Senior Schools up to age 18. Our school is located in the charming Georgian town of Holt, surrounded by 200 acres of stunning countryside. Nestled in an area renowned for its natural beauty, our campus is in close proximity to the scenic Norfolk Broads and the picturesque North Norfolk Coast.
The ideal candidate for the Matron role will possess qualities of kindness, approachability, and enthusiasm for supporting young individuals. Prior experience in a relevant position or a background in pastoral care would be beneficial. While familiarity with Child Protection and Safeguarding is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided. Prospective applicants should hold a valid driver's license, be willing to drive during duty hours, and preferably have access to their own vehicle.
