Overall Job Role:
Responsible for making proactive outbound telemarketing calls to specific customer and prospect segment in order to elicit sales enquiries and orders and meet or exceed a weekly target.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Making professional outgoing calls to unqualified prospects to achieve enquiries/appointments through outbound calling
- Cleansing the CRM system and updating customer/prospect information at all times
- Build relationships with customers to elicit enquiries and gain new business
- Gain a thorough understanding/knowledge of our product ranges in order to discuss intelligently with customers/prospects to influence them to purchase based on their specific needs or requirements
- Keep relevant notes/call records in the CRM system so that all correspondence can be referred to and understood at any given time
- Work collaboratively with the wider sales team to identify new leads and prospects
- Conduct aftersales follow up calls to customers, to ensure they are satisfied with the service we have provided, notifying the relevant member of staff should there be an issue.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in Telemarketing or Customer Service (B2B) or similar preferred
- Experience of working with technical or complex information desired
- Proven track record of qualifying leads over the phone would be desired
- Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g., CRM software) and telephone systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Persistent and resultsoriented
- Patient and able to handle customer rejection
- Ability to influence
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong teamworking skills
