Edward Mann are recruiting for a leading, international Transport Group based in Central London (Hybrid). Our client is looking for a Senior Modeller to join their commercial and strategic group team.


The position will support the delivery of quality financial and non-financial outputs, operational analysis, commercial and revenue analysis, and business intelligence and reporting for bids, acquisitions, mobilisations and other projects in the UK and internationally,through designing, building, and maintaining the financial modelling suite, and overseeing the outsourcing of model build for larger projects.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing / interpreting large datasets, in particular of operational, performance, cost and revenue data.
Manage and manipulate large operational, revenue, cost and performance data sets in Excel.

  • Deliver key financial outputs, including the preparation of financial models.
  • Developing financial models for subsidiaries within the Group, working across various ongoing internal projects.
  • Critically challenge the financial development of bid initiatives and base data.
  • Provide ongoing knowledge and expertise in bidding, tender and M&A activities.
  • Utilise external and internal resources to develop the modelling suite.
  • Lead Business Analysts and Graduate Analysts when required, on a project basis.
  • Provide explanation of datasupported assumptions when identifying projectimpacting bid financial risks.
  • Support the preparation of proposal submissions to investment committees.
  • Support the continued development of best practice processes and tools to be shared across international divisions.
  • Contribute writing, diagrams and informatics to support the explanation of research, data and analysis.
  • Develop and use project management tools to support the delivery of projects and programmes, including the creation of Excel Gantt charts.
  • Organise, attend and run project meetings, communicating with key stakeholders across the group.
  • Experienced Excel modeller, within a business analysis, bid or M&A environment.
  • Relevant sector or numericalbased degree (e.g., transport, engineering, economics, sciences, business, or mathematics, or similar)
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar level Analyst position.
  • Strong Excel skills, working with large data sets.
