Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a senior or principal groundwater modeller within our water resources sector. We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead groundwater modelling projects in our groundwater resources team.

As a senior or principal groundwater modeller, you will work closely with our technical specialists to deliver groundwater modelling projects in the UK. You will have comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of groundwater modelling for water resources, including building, developing and updating conceptual and numerical models at a regional scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead groundwater modelling projects in our groundwater resources team
  • Work closely with technical specialists to deliver projects
  • Develop and update conceptual and numerical models at a regional scale
  • Use UK regional groundwater models to assess abstraction impacts on the environment
  • Collaborate with the groundwater resources team and mentor junior staff

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related subject
  • Chartered through a relevant professional body
  • Comprehensive knowledge of groundwater modelling for water resources
  • Experience of developing or using UK regional groundwater models
  • Ability to code in Python, R, Fortran, VBA or similar
