The Neuropsychiatry Outpatient Team have great pleasure in offering a fixed term post into their well established, dynamic, supportive and friendly Multidisciplinary Team.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to develop their skills and knowledge in this service.
This is a tertiary level service, providing specialist planned care which offers short term interventions in assessment, diagnosis, and management of neuropsychiatric conditions, arising from an acquired or traumatic brain injury and neurological conditions including, but not exclusively, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's, Tourette's and Epilepsy.
The successful applicant will act in the role of Lead Professional, have responsibility for managing a case load, and have experience in care planning and risk assessment.
They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient care, demonstrating Trust core values at all times.
You will require experience of working with people with mental health/psychiatric problems and an awareness of the impact of neurological conditions on a person's wellbeing.
Applications are welcome from First Level Registered RNMH, RNLD, Adult and RMN Nurses with experience as a Band 6 nurse, or two years' experience as a Band 5 nurse.
To work as a member of a Multi Disciplinary Team, ensuring high quality and personalised care is provided, through collaboration and inclusion.
To act as a supervisor and assessor for students and other trainees.
To have the ability to work independently
To be able to meet the geographical requirements of the post
