Support Practitioner.


We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us.

We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.


The Role
You'll be supporting a young man on a 2:1 basis who has a keen interest in farm animals.

He enjoys going bowling and swimming, out for drives in his car for a tasty bite to eat and having a dance at one of the local groups.

For this role you will need to be able to swim as the young man does enjoy going to the pool.

We focus on promoting independence and working in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living which includes cooking, maintaining a clean home environment, going shopping and and support them to maintain relationships with their friends and family.

You'll take an active role in the planning and delivery of person-centred care and be supportive and encourage him to express his wishes and views.


As the person we support has a mobility car it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and are comfortable driving their car.

All we'll need you to bring is;

  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to swim

If you're successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration.

We will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
