The role of an additional Stores Person has become a requirement to SMP due to the retirement of a key member of personnel.

In addition, the company is also experiencing a continued uptake in its order book profile and an elevated position in its operating field.

The Stores Person position is required to support the store's goods received procedures and the urgent collection and delivery requirements.

The position will require the person to be versatile and able to liaise with different departments within the business.

Role:

  • Responsible for the bonded Goods Received department
  • Inputting concise data into the company MRP computer system
  • Delivery and collection of goods when required
  • Responsible for Kitting items to unique Bills of Material
  • Ability to operate a Forklift truck (preferable)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
  • May be required to perform small maintenance activities when required
  • Document control and distribution
  • Helping with supplier performance reviews
  • Liaising with other departments to collect information
  • Cover other roles when required
