Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and assistance to clients in their homes or in a healthcare facility
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications and assist with medical treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs
