As a People Services Advisor, you will be part of People Regulation Team for this 6 month contract, supporting the business in building and maintaining mechanisms to ensure oversight and adherence to the FCA/PRA Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SM&CR).

This includes managing a team inbox, providing insight on processes, completing regulatory references, analysis on reports, as well as administering team processes and procedures.

Your success isn't based on how long you spend at your desk. You'll have contracted hours, but we're always happy to support flexible working wherever we can.

That might mean working from home or different Nationwide offices or agreeing a working pattern to help you balance work and life.

We will always strive to find a way that works for everyone.


There will be an expectation to attend the office up to twice per week for collaboration, support and training reasons.


What you'll be doing:

  • Administering of a range of SMCR transactional activities, including regulated references and maintaining the FCA Directory for the Society.
  • Identifying changes required to reports and highlighting/escalating where appropriate.
  • Managing your own workload whilst prioritising appropriately to achieve deadlines and SLAs.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders, building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Ensuring accuracy of keying within our systems.
  • Identifying potential improvements to processes through the creation and updating of How to Guides whilst supporting training team members and cross skilling within the team as appropriate.

About you:

  • Experience in a previous role analysing and interpreting data
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and demonstrate a strong aptitude for MI reporting
  • Selfmotivated, articulate and numerate, with experience of presenting/ explaining your findings to others verbally or through a written report
  • Experience of building relationships and communicating with confidence whilst also working well on your own initiative
  • Experience working in roles with access to sensitive information; you act with integrity to manage confidential and sensitive cases with utmost professionalism
  • Ability to analyse information from a range of sources and strong attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills, you'll have worked in roles with a heavy emphasis on building strong working relationships with wider HR teams to ensure a seamless service delivery
  • An ability to prioritise and flex workload
  • Working experience with HR systems
