Hiring OverviewnArkesden Partners is looking to develop new talent across the firm in order to meet our strategic plans.
We aim to hire only one or possibly two graduates per year with a view to bringing people in that would wish to aim for Partner track status with us.
All of the Partners within Arkesden joined the firms as graduates and have worked their way up to the management team.
Therefore we are looking to hire an extremely bright and hard working graduate to join the firm for the medium term.
Role SpecificationnThis is a role for an ambitious Graduate to initially train as a Consultant with the aim of developing into a Senior Consultant within the business in the future.

You would be expected to do the same over the medium term.Job RolenInitially you will learn the business from the ground up:n· Building your network and establishing relationships with candidates through headhunting and regular meetingsn· Attending client meetings with Partners in order to write job specifications and confidently sell roles to candidatesn· Generating market intel (teams, compensation trends etc.)n· Assisting from day one in the research and execution of live mandates
Key SkillsnWhat kind of person are we looking for?n· Someone bright, a graduate with a degree from a top universityn· You must be enthusiastic and ready to learn in a hard-working and rewarding environmentn· Demonstrable interest in one or all of our sectorsn· Someone that can work both autonomously but always as part of the wider team.
TrainingnYou will be expected to attend no less than twenty-three training courses in your first 24 months with us including:
- In depth overview of the investment markets across all our sectors – individual courses for each sub sectorn
- Telephone skills - speaking to candidates and clients aliken
- Networking (recommendation, referral and headhunting)n
- Client and candidate face to face meetingsn
- Mandate briefing skillsn
- Business development techniquesn
- Working structure efficiencyn
- Negotiation and mandate planningn
- End to end account management
