BioTalent is pleased to be working with an exciting biotechnology early stage start-up, who are looking for a Commercial Lead to join their growing team in London.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and strategic-minded Commercial Lead with several years of relevant experience. Working closely with the CRO, Head of Ops and Scientific team, this position is for someone who is happy to be hands on and eager to be involved.

This is an individual contributor role, with no management responsibilities.

This position is mainly office based in London, happy to offer a few days working from home.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to promote microbial products, including determining product pricing and positioning
  • Build on relationships with existing customers
  • Identify and onboard new customers for our monitoring service, as we expand this internationally and to new crop types
  • Develop and negotiate commercial terms with growers for our products and services
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, pricing agreements, and distribution partnerships
  • Lead market research efforts to assess market trends
  • Assisting with product launches and marketing, including participation in conferences

You will have:

  • Experience relevant to the role, with a proven track record of 5+ years in commercial roles in a relevant industry (e.g. Agtech or Biotech)
  • Experience working in a smaller company or start-up
  • Willingness to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers and non commercial team members. Strong commercial negotiation experience.
  • Eagerness to push yourself and expand your abilities, get stuck in and be hands-on
  • Strong leadership skills, but a willingness to be hands on and personally execute
  • Solid financial skills, including financial reporting abilities
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed
