WHY YOU'RE HERE

Working directly with the Head of Marketing, the Social Media Manager will be a key member of the Core Support team behind Chicken Shop, working hard to disrupt the UK fried chicken market. We are looking for a Social Media ninja. A strategic and creative thinker, you will be responsible for delivering fun, engaging, thumb-stopping content across channels. You'll drive ongoing community engagement with our brand, products and restaurants, as well as helping to drive footfall. We expect there to be scope for this role to grow over time as we do, so we are looking for someone forward-looking with buckets of enthusiasm and potential.

WHAT YOU'RE HERE TO DO

● Ultimately your purpose is to grow our brand in a way that reflects our brand guidelines. We look at reach and engagement as our key measures and it will be your role to drive these.

● You'll lead the strategy, clarify and own KPI's, and then deliver our content calendar against this while measuring and evaluating performance for continual improvement as we go.

● You will own and drive a disruptive but positive tone of voice across the content and channels, in line with our brand strategy.

● Ideating, producing, and editing videos, reels and posts fit for Instagram and TikTok (and any other channels we may go into). You will need the ability and drive to do this yourself but also manage others at times (Freelancers/agencies) to deliver on our goals.

● You will work collaboratively with our local restaurant teams to create salivating food content that excites and engages our community.

● Attend/arrange shoots and events where necessary (this may occasionally involve working out of hours)

● You will own the influencer strategy to achieve brand goals, including optimising influencer spend, and negotiating with top influencers while staying on budget.

● Use data and research to identify trends across social platforms to inform creative concepts.

● Identify other relevant or trending accounts across platforms to engage or collaborate with.

● Own and nurture our community of fans. This means responding to comments and efficiently resolving DMs from customers or other brands and content creators.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

● Min 2 years working in social media across the major social platforms.

● Evidence of having grown brand awareness for another brand.

● An exceptional eye and attention to detail.

● Proficient at using Photoshop, Figma, Canva or similar design tools. You will need to show us evidence of this in the interview process.

● Agile and efficient in delivering content to ensure timely social responses to a business need.

● Excellent project management and communication skills

● Ability to multitask and manage several projects at once.

● Confident in managing multiple senior stakeholders with clear articulation of your ideas.

● Management of a social media budget

● Ability to identify a story or trend to create relevant content and join the conversation.

● Understanding content best practice principles on different channels

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS

Key internal relationships:

You will work alongside our CRM manager, report to the Head of Marketing, and work closely with the CEO, Ops and Finance to deliver and evaluate social campaigns for Chicken Shop. You'll work with the Food and Restaurant teams to bring these campaigns to life, ensuring our joint objectives and KPIs are met.

Key external relationships:

You will have the external support of our design agency and other freelancers when required to ensure creative assets are delivered to a brief, on time and with the highest quality of output.
