Technical Services Director

The role of Technical Services Director involves overseeing the technical aspects of the company's operations to ensure product safety, cost efficiency, and exceptional customer experience. This includes managing Technical Support, Field Service Operations, Quality Control, and Product Training. The ideal candidate will lead a team of approximately 25 employees, demonstrating a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical products.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management for Technical Services, Field Engineering, and Product Training teams
- Implement continual evaluation and improvement processes to enhance quality, reduce costs, ensure product safety, and boost customer satisfaction
- Monitor department performance through key performance indicators, targets, and goal setting
- Ensure adherence to HSEQ standards, including overseeing product recalls
- Participate in Business Review Meetings
- Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Past experience in senior management roles with complete P&L responsibility
- Background in electrical engineering, supported by mechanical engineering qualifications
- Familiarity with Distribution, Contracting, and Service operational models
- Strong analytical skills in budgeting, financial reporting, and variance management
- Proven negotiation abilities with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
- Understanding of continuous improvement processes and Health & Safety regulations
- Positive attitude that promotes teamwork, energy, and goal-driven mindset
- Commercially and financially savvy with exceptional communication skills
