What will I be doing as a Marketing Assistant?
Howdens are looking for a Marketing Assistant based in our Raunds office based in Northamptonshire.

The purpose of this role is to support the Marketing Manager in the implementation of a focussed marketing plan as part of the wider marketing strategy for Howdens Joinery.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver marketing literature and promotional activities, ensuring all are delivered to agreed plans

  • Create and interpret briefs to ensure appropriate assets and literature are delivered to support the launch of new products, category specific and marcomms activities
  • Manage our online print ordering system: Depot Marketing Toolbox (DMT), including product management, templates (including campaign support), merchandise, feature enhancements, competitive pricing and reporting
  • Ensure all content aligns to brand and tone of voice is consistent
  • Manage promotional goods and internal marketing services projects, including but not limited to production of merchandise, flyers and POS material, expo materials, events etc.
  • Ensure reports are briefed and produced to ensure they can inform the future direction of marketing activities and literature / POS evolution
  • Proofing of marketing materials across all channels to ensure they are factually correct and highlight informative and engaging information
  • Maintain highly functional relationships between the marketing, internal communications, business planning and category teams and uphold ways of working that ensure critical timings are met

What do I need to qualify for this role?

  • Marketing, brand and content experience
  • Previous senior level stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience in managing agencies and suppliers
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment to a high standard
  • Highly creative and innovative problem solver
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present to audiences at all levels
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
