An opportunity has arisen for a full time assistant practitioner who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to be part of a supportive and forward thinking team.

The role is integral to ensuring the department is able to function efficiently on a daily basis. You will be proactive, driven and able to use initiative.

Sellers ward is a 16 bedded surgical unit. An In-patient ward where we care for a range of specialities of general surgery. We cover a wide range of surgery including, general surgery, urology, ENT, vascular, Upper GI and Breast surgery.


Longton day case unit is a urology unit where we care for patients undergoing a wide range of urology day case procedures.

We care for patient pre and post operatively with an amazing supportive Multidisciplinary team and we want you to come and join us

The role is patient facing and requires excellent communication skills.

You will be expected to carry your own caseload of patients; assessing them early in their admission, identifying their individual needs and delivering therapeutic healthcare (including manual handling, mobilisation, delivering exercises and supporting activities of daily living) and working towards early discharge from hospital.

Admitting elective surgical patients completing who checklists using various It systems within the trust including QMED and EPMA, Individual risk assessments opera.
