Accounts Receivable Manager

Head quartered in Stockport, our operations span the entire UK, where our circa 2,000 team services the largest utility providers in the market.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to come and join us located at the newly refurbished head office in Stockport on a 12 month FTC, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Accounts Receivable function of the OCU Group.
Key responsibilitiesnInvoicing and Statements:
nManaging the Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate and timely invoices are issued to clients.nSending regular statements and reminders to clients regarding outstanding balances.
nPayment Monitoring:
nMonitoring and tracking client accounts to ensure timely payment.nIdentifying and addressing late payments promptly.
nClient Communication:
nBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with clients.nMaintaining regular communication with clients regarding their accounts.nHandling client queries related to invoices and payments.
nReporting:
nGenerating and analysing aged debt reports.nProviding regular updates on bad debt provisions.
nLegal Compliance:
nEnsuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and credit control policies.nCollaborating with legal counsel if legal action is required.
nProcess Improvement:
nContinuously evaluating and improving AR processes.nImplementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.nSkills, qualifications and experiencenProven experience as an AR Manager or supervisornExcellent communication and negotiation skills.nRelevant industry experience would be greatnAttention to detail, strong analytical abilities.nProficiency in using financial software (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.nProactive and results-oriented.nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.nStrong problem-solving skills.nExcellent time management and organisational skills.nAbility to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
