FPG is looking for a Program Manager for a leading telecommunications company dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of telecommunications.

They specialise in harnessing the power of 5G technology and Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) solutions.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead our 5G/ORAN project.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and closure.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management, risk management, technical software projects, and stakeholder management.


Key Responsibilities:

nProject Planning and Execution:nDevelop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.nCoordinate resources, tasks, and activities to ensure project milestones are met.nMonitor project progress and proactively identify and address any issues or risks.


Financial Management:

nManage project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.nForecast and track project financials, including expenditures and revenues.nProvide regular financial reports to stakeholders and senior management.


Risk Management:

nIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.nMonitor and evaluate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as needed.nCommunicate risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders and project team members.


Technical Software Projects:

nOversee the delivery of technical software projects related to 5G/ORAN technology.nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.nEnsure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.


Stakeholder Management:

nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, vendors, and partners.nCommunicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.nAddress stakeholder concerns and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.


Requirements:
nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Master's degree preferred.nProven experience managing large-scale telecom projects, with a focus on 5G/ORAN technology.nStrong financial management skills, with experience managing project budgets of at least £5 million.nDemonstrated expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies.nExperience delivering technical software projects in a fast-paced environment.nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.nPMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.nKnowledge of telecom industry standards, protocols, and regulations.nAbility to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
