We are looking for an Advanced Teaching Assistant to join our thriving, busy school.

Here at Gladstone Road Primary school, we provide a friendly and inspirational education setting for our staff and children.

As a four-form primary school you join the largest primary team (in the area) who will support and challenge you in your practice.

We welcomed our experienced Headteacher in January 2020 and since then, have overhauled our curriculum, leadership structure, provision, and learning environments.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated colleague to join our school, work with our children, and provide the support they need to be their best.


This will include working with children on the SEND register to provide the support needed to enable them to successfully access all that the school has to offer.

This is a very varied role, and no two days are ever the same

Our support staff are highly regarded, and we pride ourselves on developing our support colleagues to excel and further develop their career through specialised training and career paths.


You will:

  • Have previous experience in working with children and young people, possibly within the care sector
  • Be able to support in the delivery of highquality learning experiences for all pupils
  • Be supportive, nurturing and understanding
  • Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and in writing
