Job Title: Headteacher (Early Years Specilism)

Are you an innovative and dynamic leader with a passion for early childhood education and special educational needs? We are seeking an exceptional Early Years Headteacher with SENCO experience to lead our EYFS school into a bright future.

As the Early Years Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest learners, ensuring that every child receives the support and guidance they need to thrive. Your SENCO expertise will be invaluable in creating an inclusive environment where all children can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to our EYFS school, setting clear goals and strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including curriculum development, staff management, and resource allocation.
  • Champion best practices in early childhood education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and approaches.
  • Lead by example in promoting an inclusive ethos, ensuring that the needs of children with special educational needs are met effectively.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to create strong partnerships and support networks for children with SEN.
  • Mentor and support staff members, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate the school's performance, implementing interventions and initiatives to drive progress and attainment.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding guidelines, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and significant experience in early years education.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a headteacher or senior leadership role.
  • SENCO qualification or significant experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of early years curriculum frameworks and educational policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving positive outcomes for all children.
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of young children and their families.
