An exciting opportunity to cover Maternity within Staff Experience team (WT&E directorate) South east region for People Promise co-ordinator to support delivery of People Promise priorities whilst also playing a critical part in supporting regional and system level delivery as part our regional Team.

The role is a key link across the region between organisations, Primary care, Integrated Care Systems, in addition to coordination for Wellbeing, Culture, Retention and EDI and ensure key stakeholders and internal NHSE are kept updated and informed of new initiatives.


Main duties of the job include:

  • Supporting regional delivery across several EDI, health and wellbeing initiatives including but not exclusively implementation of: the Health and Wellbeing Framework
  • Health and Wellbeing Champions
  • Violence Prevention and Reduction Project
- the Civility and Respect programme

  • People Promise Exemplar Programmes New waves
  • EDI work and support around High Impact actions
  • The ICS Support programme
  • Acting as a key link between regional NHSEI Teams and the national Health and Wellbeing Team.
  • Demonstrating creativity and autonomy when leading and co-ordinating projects
  • Communicating effectively to ensure adoption, adaption and spread of evidence-based practice
  • Keeping up to date with latest research and evidence-based practice, and effectively sharing this within regional, national teams and across Integrated Care Systems.
  • Being an effective team member, developing effective relationships to achieve a positive impact and working in partnership within and across teams, in particular with the Staff Experience Coordinator and other members of the wider regional team.
  • An ability to analyse data, some of which may be complex, sensitive and/or contentious and present it in a meaningful and engaging way that supports an improvement approach.
  • Act as a key link across the region between organisations, Integrated Care Systems, regional and national colleagues.

From April 2023, NHS England, Health Education England and NHS Digital will be one single organisation, putting workforce, data, digital and technology at the heart of our plans to transform the NHS.

The post holder will be responsible for a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of projects/programmes objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

Project Management

  • Responsible for organising key project meeting, engagement and workshop sessions, booking venues, sending invites, taking minutes.
  • Attending and/or facilitating meetings where agreed and present on progress, ensuring that all actions are logged and followed up as required.
  • Manage programme schedule and resource dependencies and conflict between initiatives.
  • Manage the endtoend procedures relating to all aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Support the team to ensure the timely capture of lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for developing and managing project tracking, control and reporting arrangements ensuring that project/programmes' objectives can be achieve.
Service Improvement

  • Responsible for the development of operational processes and improvements to ensure robust coordination and alignment across the team in the delivery of its operational plan.
  • To promote learning, sharing and evaluation of support delivered to appropriate stakeholder.
  • Contribute to strategic planning.
  • As part of a Project and Programme Management community of practice contribute to the development of project and programme management approaches and way of working across the organisation(s).
  • Support the tracking of benefits realisation.
Analysis and Judgement

  • Assess and evaluate complex information received from project/programme(s) from a range of reporting sources.
  • Monitor the delivery of work streams against plans, chasing and challenging progress as appropriate.
  • Assist and maintain risk and issues log, escalating as appropriate
