About the Role:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance employee, visitor, customer, and environmental safety through compliance, training, and engagement.
- Manage the Net Zero commitments at AMS, focusing on achieving milestones and improving the AIR Score across facilities.
- Take ownership of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Energy Management systems within the organization.
- Drive EHS projects for continuous improvement, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Focus on environmental objectives and contribute to AMS's "Net Zero" journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain safety and environmental policies to meet legal requirements and enhance overall awareness.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental, energy-related, and health and safety legislation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in EHS management, including conducting audits and risk assessments.
- Provide comprehensive training on Health, Safety & Environmental systems and procedures.
- Manage accident and 'Near-Miss' reporting platforms and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct EHS maturity audits, manage safety task groups, and oversee risk assessments.
Requirements:
- A degree in science, management, or an equivalent field.
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management or equivalent.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft packages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret safety legislation, analyze business needs, and provide informed recommendations.
