We are recruiting for a Resuscitation Officer who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS.

The Resuscitation Officer will assist in the management of the Resuscitation Service for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

This includes the delivery of resuscitation training to all grades/disciplines of staff in basic and advanced life support (adult, paediatric & new-born), trauma resuscitation and the assessment and care of the critically ill patient.

Deliver resuscitation training (adult, paediatric & newborn) to all grades/disciplines of staff (basic and advanced life support as required), trauma resuscitation and the assessment and care of the critically ill patient.

Assist with the Trust wide standardisation and audit of resuscitation equipment.

Assist with monitoring of standards and protocols, including the audit and evaluation of the resuscitation procedure.


Assist with the collection, appraisal and recording of accurate information for the purposes of national and local audits/research related to resuscitation and resuscitation practice.


To attend clinical resuscitation calls whenever possible, to provide team leadership (as necessary), monitor performance, support, advise and to provide debriefing/clinical supervision as needed.
