The post holder has an important responsibility for and contribution to make to infection control and must be familiar with the infection control and hygiene requirements of this role.

On the GMC Specialist Register in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion1
Successful completion of an SAC-approved 5-year minimum training programme in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, or within 6 months of completion, or an equivalent completion of training which is recognised by the GMC
Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCT in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Applicants who are Nationals from another European country or elsewhere overseas would have to show equivalence to the 5-year training period in the NHS required for the speciality.
Subspecialty interest and training in facial Deformity, surgical dermatology, trauma and TMJ surgeryExperience in day to day organisation of OMFS services in a busy Teaching Hospital
Clear appreciation of the advantages and limitations for clinical practice of the present system for the provision of healthcare, coupled with proven capacity for the effective management of staff.
Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit. Must have undertaken and completed audit projectsExperience in clinical research
