Prevalent is seeking a QA tester to assess software quality through manual testing.

Reporting to the QA Manager, you will be part of the team focused on testing our industry-leading third-party risk management platform.

In addition to finding and reporting bugs and glitches, you will need to be a team player who is willing to handle a wide variety of daily tasks.


Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with other QA Engineers to develop effective test strategies
  • Execute test cases and analyze results
  • Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing
  • Create logs and screenshots to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Conduct postrelease and postimplementation testing
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development
  • Work closely with the QA team to implement innovative ideas that create efficiencies and increase quality

Key Skills

  • Working knowledge of software quality and testing methodologies
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Specialist
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in QA methodology
  • Well versed in creating manual test cases in test systems and frameworks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Some software development background with a strong Quality Assurance testing focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Testing in Linux
- and Mac-based environments
