We are looking for a QA Tester to join the Government People Group (GPG) within the Cabinet Office, to help design and execute test plans and carry out exploratory testing as part of a broader risk-based approach.

You will join our cross-functional Agile delivery team focusing on improving Civil Service Jobs, and helping to redesign how the service should be delivered in the future.

Along with the live service, we’re running a Recruitment Transformation programme, looking at what the future service should look like. **Essential criteria**:

- Experience of both functional and nonfunctional testing techniques. You can execute test scenarios and identify defects, raising awareness of them. You know how to run tests others have written and know the processes to do so. You understand a range of standard testing techniques.
- Understanding of the following test phases and standards associated with: Functional Test, Non-Functional Test, Acceptance Test, Performance Test, Usability Test, Accessibility Test and Regression Test.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of working in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within specific time-scales and engaging with multiple senior Stakeholders.
- Agile Methodologies - with experience of BDD (behaviour driven development) and TDD (test driven development) processes, and an understanding of the key principles to develop a modern standards approach to testing.

**Should you require reasonable adjustments at any point during the recruitment process or if there is a more accessible way for us to communicate, please do let me know.** ?

**If you consider yourself to have a disability or if you are a veteran, and you meet the essential criteria for the role, PSR provides a ‘Guaranteed Interview’ scheme whereby you will have the opportunity to discuss this role and your suitability with a member of our PSR Sourcing team.**
