Founded by Creative Director Mira Mikati in Mira Mikati (the brand) has gained a cult following with street style starlets and style-savvy celebrities with its timeless silhouettes, dedication to colour, and tactile showcases. Collections of carefree-meets-cool designs span the realms of playfully gamine and candidly feminine—all while channelling inspirational undertones hatched from art world collaborations with personal idols like KAWS, Darcel, Jack Pierson, MR, and Javier Calleja, adventure-filled travels, and a resistance to the idea of sartorial conventionality. At Mira Mikati, we celebrate creativity and vibrant design, extending our distinct aesthetic to the homeware and home design markets. We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative Product Designer who can transform preliminary concepts into detailed product designs, ready for manufacturing.

-Job Description:

As a Product Designer at Mira Mikati, you will play a critical role in bringing to life the artistic visions for our homeware and home design products. Starting from initial sketches provided by our creative team, you will develop these ideas into detailed, manufacturable products. This role requires technical skills in CAD and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes to ensure the feasibility of designs.

-Responsibilities:

Develop and refine product designs from initial sketches and concepts.

Create CAD drawings and design specifications for manufacturing.

Collaborate closely with the creative team to maintain the brand's aesthetic while ensuring product functionality and manufacturability.

Conduct market research and apply findings to enhance design functionality and appeal.

Prototype, test, and iterate designs based on feedback and practical evaluations.

Liaise with manufacturers to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

-Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio in homeware and/or home design.

Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials specific to homeware and home design products.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and communicate effectively across different teams.

A creative mindset with a strong attention to detail and a passion for innovative design.
