HR Officer (Temporary to Permanent)

Location:

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Overview:


We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our team at a secondary school in Greenwich.

As an HR Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's human resources functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing efficient and effective HR services to staff members.

This is a temporary to permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the school community.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members on HR policies, procedures, and employmentrelated matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Coordinate and administer employee benefits, such as leave entitlements, pensions, and healthcare schemes.
  • Support the performance management process, including conducting appraisals and assisting with the implementation of performance improvement plans.
  • Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, conducting investigations and providing advice on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and line managers to identify training and development needs, coordinating relevant training programs.
  • Stay uptodate with changes in employment legislation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and inclusive working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in HR, preferably within an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff members at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficient in using HR information systems and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.


Please note that this is a temporary to permanent position, with the potential for a permanent contract based on performance and availability.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

£14.00-£19.49 per hour
