PURCHASING ADMINSTRATOR


The is a new varied and interesting administrative role working across the business buying for shop/retail, clubs, corporate wear/trade and to some extent schools at the busy time of the year.


Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Directors, Shop Manager, Club Account Managers (hockey, rugby etc) and Sales Staff coordinating purchasing activities.
  • Review system to identify and maintain minimum stock levels of various including shop stock, club kit, etc
  • Creating new product codes for putting on the system in approved format for loading into the ERP system
  • Identify opportunities for bulk/batch buying and negotiate potential discounts
  • Some liaising with suppliers to obtain full information on new products
  • Ensuring all purchase orders are input into system in a timely manner
  • Following up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
  • Identify obsolete, slow moving stock from stockaging reports for sale
  • Stock Control assist with coordination of stocktakes
  • Performing clerical & administration work as required
  • Maintaining/file documentation electronically
