HV Architecture Development Engineer - £40k to £80k - EV - South Europe


One of my key clients is a leading innovator in the field of electric vehicle (EV) technology, dedicated to creating sustainable transportation solutions for a greener future.

They're committed to pushing the boundaries of EV technology and delivering cutting-edge solutions that redefine the automotive industry. As they continue to grow and expand they're seeking a HV Architecture Development Engineer.


The HV Architecture Development Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of high voltage architectures for my clients EV platforms.

This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, HV components, and system integration to deliver robust and efficient HV architectures that meet the performance and reliability requirements of our EV products.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing HV architectures for automotive applications and a passion for innovation in the EV industry.

Responsibilities:


Lead the development of HV architectures for EV platforms, from concept to production, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to integrate HV architectures into vehicle platforms.nConduct system-level simulations and analysis to optimize HV architectures for efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.nDefine requirements and specifications for HV components, such as batteries, inverters, and charging systems, and select appropriate components for integration into HV architectures.nPerform validation testing and verification of HV architectures to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HV architecture performance, reliability, and scalability.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced degree preferred.n5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on HV system development for automotive applications.nStrong understanding of HV components, such as batteries, inverters, and charging systems, and their integration into EV architectures.nProficiency in electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, PSpice, etc.).nExperience with automotive industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, UN ECE R100, etc.).nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
