Located in the Lovely Essex countryside on a peaceful farm, Metallic Elephant Ltd operate a busy manufacturing site in Frating.

Established in 2007, we are proud to be a premium British manufacturer of hot foil machines and dies, supplying a global base of clients.

We constantly invest and have a well-equipped, modern site. After continued year on year growth we now require a further workshop assistant to join the team.

Daily duties will include:

  • Assembling of hot foil presses as directed
  • Safely use hand tools and other workshop equipment to produce completed finished goods for clients.
  • General mechanical assembling
  • Operating CNC machines under guidance.
  • Cut raw materials using CNC saw.
  • Visually inspect finished products and ensure meet set standards
  • Painting of machines to meet customer orders once trained
  • Welding of machines as directed by manufacturing manager once trained
  • Basic drilling, tapping and polishing
  • Follow written customer orders for requirements.
  • Work to drawings and build guides
  • Maintain standards of safety and comply with the Company's health, safety and environment management systems requirements
  • Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • Ensuring all areas of the workshop are clean and tidy

You will need:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Must be physically fit as position involves heavy lifting and standing.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience in the use of Hand & Power Tools preferred but not essential
  • Meet deadlines that are set.
  • Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification.
  • Ensure compliance documents are completed accurately.
Monday to Friday,
