EDF Renewables UK is responsible for delivering the UK strategy in renewables and managing all the related activities on behalf of the Shareholders.

Hence, EDF Renewables UK is responsible for developing, constructing and operating the Shareholders' renewable assets in the UK.

EDF Renewables UK develops a large portfolio of projects at various stages of development and of different technologies (e.g. wind, solar and battery technology).

In managing its business, EDF Renewables UK acquires and disposes of projects and/or portfolios with the objective of delivering continuous and sustainable growth and value to its Shareholders.


As our Procurement Specialist for Services within our Asset Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering activities related to the Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) activities of operating our assets where 3rd party contracted services are required.


You will support procurement activities associated with the general management of operational assets including, identification and selection of suppliers, negotiation and award of contract, preparing and evaluating tenders and preparing purchase orders and contracts for services.

You will work in consultation with the wider asset operations team in accordance with best-value and approved company procedures.


A challenge of this role is that you must fulfil a significant amount of demand as there are circa 400 wind turbines that require goods and services.

What you'll be doing day to day _**As our Procurement Specialist for Services you will be required to support the asset operations procurement team to initiate and implement plans, including obtaining buy-in from key internal stakeholders.

You will lead and manage procurement activities required for existing operational assets to agreed commercial objectives and in line with approved procedures including (but not limited to):

  • Benchmarking and market research
  • Determining the appropriate method for acquisition
  • Prepare procurement and contract documentation
  • Consulting relevant technical, HSE, legal and financial functions
  • Preparation and issue of requests for quotation/invitations to tender
  • Evaluation of tenders and contract award
  • Leading on contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure savings are achieved

_What do you need to be great at this role?_
You will be CIPS level 4 qualified ideally with ability to demonstrate strong supply chain and procurement experience.

You will have the ability to manage procurement activities on business systems (SAP/IFS) and be able to act as a point of reference for business users.

You will have a strong track record of procuring external contracted engineering & specialist services in an operational environment.

Renewables experience is not essential but would be desirable.
