One of us can walk around the home, we have different challenges in our lives which include visual and hearing impairment, and learning disabilities. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs. We enjoy outdoor activities, walks at the seaside, visiting music festivals, cinema, shopping outings Looking after a cat making sure he has food and water Other interests we have are listening to music, visiting trendy coffee shops with home baking and the odd pub visit We are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people's personal space and belongings and have a love of music. We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy, running around, shouting or very noisy as it would tend to make a few of us upset. There is always at least 3 colleagues on shift. We like our staff to work Mornings 9am-3pm Afternoon 3pm-9pm and Nights is waking night shift 9pm-9am this is 2 staff on duty overnight .In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team needs to be motivated and encourage us to engage in variety of activities in our home and in the community it is extremely important for our wellbeing. Your values: We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals' values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
