We are seeking a hospitality fanatic who is has a penchant for all things L&D and revels in the progression of others. Have you worked in Operations and now sit within L&D or are you currently still operational but spend much of your time focusing on team progression?

My client is a boutique luxury hotel brand with four properties in their portfolio with further growth planned for 2024. Their locations are picturesque, interiors stunning and the purpose of this role is to ensure their teams match.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that their teams maintain the highest standards of service and quality across all departments inc F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office and Leisure. You will design, implement, and oversee training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff, ensuring a consistently excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • In time look after the end to end recruitment for the 4 properties
  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to ensure staff adherence to hotel standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop tailored training solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to staff to reinforce training and address performance issues.
  • Prepare training materials, manuals, and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and departmental procedures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.

The role reports into the Director of People and requires someone who is at home on the floor teaching on the job as well as in a classroom environment.

It is essential that you hold a valid UK license and own car - Travel between properties essential and will involve occasional overnight stays.

Hours are predominantly Mon-Fri and the role pays between £35k for someone realtively new to the role to £45,000 for someone with experience in a stand alone training role.
