Details of the role:

  • Hours of work: 37 hours, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate:
£250 Per Day
Duration: Temp on Going
Location: Hybrid Northampton

Responsibilities:

  • Services meetings of various Committees, Panels, Working Parties, and other meetings by electronically preparing agendas, reports, and minutes.
  • Undertaking work from assigned meetings, including correspondence and liaison with officers of other departments and external bodies to implement decisions.
  • Indexes Council, Cabinet, Panel, and committee minutes.
  • Researches and prepares draft reports based on legislation, circulars, and other publications.
  • Efficiently services meetings with electronic preparation of agendas, reports, and minutes.
  • Attend meetings, take notes, and collaborate with officers and external bodies.
  • Implement decisions through correspondence, reports, and collaboration.
  • Index and maintain records of Council, Cabinet, Panel, and committee minutes.

Experience in democratic services in local authorities is required.

Requirements:

  • The ability to draft routine reports and agendas for Council, Cabinet, Committees, Panels, and working parties using Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of Local Government, especially in committee administration.
  • The ability to handle various administrative functions related to committee administration.
