As a Climbing Centre Receptionist Business Apprentice, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our climbing centre.

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all visitors, managing front desk duties, and supporting various administrative tasks.

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in business administration within the context of a dynamic and thriving climbing centre environment.

This is a Business Administration Apprenticeship placement position to study your level 3, gain new transferable skills and knowledge. You will be guided by a 1-2-1, workshops and further study to help you gain your qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Management:

  • Greet visitors warmly and assist them with inquiries, registration, and membership services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation at the reception area.

Customer Service:

  • Provide accurate information about climbing centre services, facilities, and pricing.
  • Assist customers in completing waivers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking appropriate resolutions.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and recordkeeping tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Help manage inventory of climbing equipment, retail items, and office supplies.
  • Support marketing initiatives by distributing promotional materials and updating social media platforms.

Business Operations:

  • Learn and understand the fundamentals of business operations within the climbing centre context.
  • Shadow and assist senior staff in tasks related to finance, scheduling, and facility management.
  • Contribute ideas for improving operational processes and enhancing customer experience.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the wellbeing of visitors and staff.
  • Participate in training sessions to develop knowledge of climbing safety practices and emergency procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Passion for climbing and outdoor activities, with a basic understanding of climbing techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the climbing centre's operating schedule.
