MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Are you seeking an opportunity to join a renowned manufacturer of electro-mechanical products in a crucial Manufacturing Engineering position? This company boasts a strong global presence and is actively engaged in groundbreaking projects, offering a diverse and project-oriented role.

The company is currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in supporting New Product Introduction by bridging the gap between design and the shop floor for new product development initiatives. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will establish robust production engineering standards and collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to enhance the lean environment on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI) / Design for Manufacture (DFM) - Serve as the vital link between the Product Development team and the shop floor to ensure all new products are optimized for manufacturing.
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement - Aid in the identification and implementation of improvement tools like 7 Wastes, Visual Management, single piece flow, 5S, or similar methodologies.

To excel in this dynamic Project-based Production Engineering role, you should ideally have formal technical training (apprenticeship, HNC/D, degree) or substantial experience in electro-mechanical assembly or electronic/box build manufacturing environments.

  • Experience in an assembly manufacturing setting
  • Background in electro-mechanical assembly is highly desirable
