Production Supervisor (permanent night shift) required, working Monday to Thursday 8pm til 7am, paying £36,500 (includes shift allowance) pa. This is a permanent opportunity in the GL2 area of Gloucester, not too far from the Town Centre. Benefits package includes full uniform provided; pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, life assurance, technology scheme, 33 days holiday.

Whilst managing the night shift team you will be responsible for:
Carrying out a daily brief to all relevant personnel advising of production quality and Health and Safety requirements
Ensuring a maximum customer appraisal rating is achieved through Operational excellence and a well motivated and high performing Operations team
Liaising with management regarding Operational costings, advising on appropriate budgets and ensuring efficient use of resources
Coordinating with the Operations Manager regarding operational issues and activities

Managing Operations personnel from recruitment through to performance evaluation and coordinate any related employment matters
Educating the Operations team on best practices, company policies and customer service excellence standards
Ensuring all Operational staff are fully training in the required competencies for the roles and carry out regular appraisals, set and measure against appropriate objectives and advise on development opportunities
Ensuring that routine maintenance and repair works for equipment are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
Maintaining housekeeping standards, ensuring the Warehouse is kept clean, safe and organised at all times
Generating accurate Operational reports for senior management, as and when required
Ensuring the entire Operations department and any visitors adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy
Ensuing the entire Operations department and any visitors adhere to the company's Environmental requirements
To follow instructions given by the management and any other tasks reasonably required by the company


In ordered to be considered for this role you will need to have previous management or team leader experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Good numeracy skills to be able to identify anomalies and manage budgets along with efficient organisational skills with the ability to review and set up appropriate systems.
