Your Role and Impact
As a Health and Safety Manager at Frive, your primary responsibility is to provide expert support and guidance to the site leadership team on all operational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) matters. You will play a crucial role in driving performance improvement and ensuring compliance with HSE policies and regulations while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Health, Safety and Environment performance improvement at the site to achieve KPI targets
- Ensure effective management of HSE policies and systems in alignment with legislation and internal standards
- Monitor incident management processes to maintain a safe workplace
- Report HSE incidents to authorities for legal compliance
- Lead audit programs to ensure compliance and identify areas for enhancement
- Manage stakeholder relationships and uphold compliance standards
- Develop and execute site-specific HSE plans
- Integrate HSE considerations into all Capex projects
- Implement safety and environmental awareness initiatives
- Support talent development and performance management of staff
Requirements
- Extensive experience in EHS advisory roles, preferably in the food industry
- In-depth knowledge of UK and European HSE legislation
- NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent certification
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related fields
- Proficiency in incident investigation and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead safety initiatives
- Proactive mindset and commitment to a safe and inclusive workplace
