We have a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly department in the heart of beautiful Cornwall. Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Oncology, commencing August 2024 for 6-12 months.


The junior fellow roles are suitable for F3 doctors, while the Senior Fellow post is most suitable for someone who has completed IMT.

Both roles require full GMC registration with a licence to practice and demonstrable NHS experience.


These popular roles focus on the ongoing care in Acute Oncology and outpatients of cancer patients and works alongside a large team of Consultant, Specialist Registrars, General Practitioners and Allied Healthcare Professionals working in Oncology.


Senior Clinical Fellow routine work will include:

Management of the ongoing care in outpatients of cancer patients and work alongside a large team of Consultant, Specialist Registrars, General Practitioners and Allied Healthcare Professionals working in Oncology.


The role is equivalent to a LAS role at Registrar level and working closely with the Oncology Consultants and wider team, you will be trained to assess and support cancer patients, including the safe prescription of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy.


In both role, the Fellow will:
Fulfil the duties of the weekly timetable.

Maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of clinical services.

Share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the patients within RCHT.

Have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).

Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.

Attend meetings as appropriate.
