This is a hands-on, varied and active role involving stock management in our warehouse, delivery driving with our 3.5t vans and customer service at the trade counter.

Working Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-16:30pm with an earlier finish on a Friday.

As this role supports the local housing association it would be advantageous to have a strong knowledge of building materials, this could be from a roofing / plumbing / builder's / trade merchant / DIY outlet background although we are happy to provide training where necessary as long as you have sound customer service experience

So, what will you be doing?_


As a
Warehouse & Delivery Driver, the focus of this role is to support the team with stock management, yard and warehouse standards, delivery of products to the customer and overall providing an excellent service to our client and their tradespeople.


Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Help to pick and pack customer orders in the warehouse/yard
  • Load/unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
  • Be available to deliver materials to our customers using a 3.5t van
  • Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
  • Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
  • Use our systems to process and update customer orders at the trade counter
  • Maintain stock levels in the warehouse, carrying out regular stock counts
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
