This involves harnessing the power of Cloud solutions, a constantly evolving security stance, the rejuvenation of legacy applications and further improving the way we engage with and manage our strategic partners and suppliers.

Our Technology division is moving forward into its next stage of Cloud adoption; At Penguin, our Technology division thrives on collaboration, support and building strong relationships across the business.

Joining us as a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer means becoming an essential part of our Cloud transformation journey.

Assist the Cloud Platform Engineering Manager & Cloud Engineers in developing and implementing our comprehensive cloud strategy in line with the organisation's objectives.

Participate in the design, build and operation of various cloud infrastructure components including storage, networking and security services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help identify and implement cloud-based solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability.

Monitor cloud performance and contribute to optimising cost, uptime and resource utilisation to meet or exceed service level agreements.

Help establish and enforce cloud security best practices, including access control, data protection and disaster recovery.
Support the Cloud Platform Engineering Manager in delivering cloud-related projects, not least of all our migration from on-prem to the cloud
Learn from technical guidance and mentorship provided by team members, fostering continuous learning and development.

Some practical experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and a willingness to learn about their IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.

An eagerness to learn about managing cloud networking, storage and computer resources.
Basic coding skills will be required as we progress with an Infrastructure-as-Code mindset.
