Job Title:
Volunteer Marshal for Treetops Hospice's Moonlight Walk
The Moonlight Walk is a sponsored 10k walk around Derby city centre happening on Friday 6th September. Hundreds of walkers will lace up their walking boots to raise money for their local hospice.

Why we need you
We're looking for enthusiastic marshals to help on the night by standing at a post along the route. Volunteers will start from 7pm onwards and will need to be available until 11.30pm.

The Moonlight Walk is an event for everyone and a celebration of the work Treetops Hospice does.

In supporting the walk, volunteers will be help creating an event in which supporters can come together, share memories of loved ones and fundraise so that we continue to be there for local patients and their families.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure walkers are following the correct route
  • Monitor and report any issues to the volunteer coordinator
  • Offering support and encouragement to the walkers by cheering them on as they come past
