Job Description:

As the MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer), you will have a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and upholding a strong financial crime prevention framework.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute AML policies, procedures, and controls following regulatory mandates and top practices in the field.
- Perform ongoing risk evaluations and monitor transactions for any suspicious activities, promptly reporting any discoveries to the relevant authorities.
- Take the lead on AML training and awareness initiatives for staff, fostering a compliance and integrity-driven culture.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on the company's AML/CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism) strategies.
- Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory entities on AML-related issues.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to gauge the effectiveness of AML controls and suggest enhancements when required.

Your Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 years in an MLRO or senior compliance role in the financial services sector, preferably in payments or fintech.
- In-depth understanding of AML/CFT regulations, compliance structures, and industry benchmarks.
- Demonstrated capability in formulating and implementing successful AML policies, procedures, and controls.
- Exceptional communication and leadership competencies, with the knack for engaging stakeholders across all hierarchies.
- Desirable certifications like CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist).
