Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)
We are looking for a permanent full time LADO to join us. The role will be to offer professional consultation and advice, chair and coordinate complex meetings, and manage allegations against people who work with children in paid employment or in voluntary work.
About the role
The core activities of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) will be to:

About you
The successful candidate will have:
LADO experience (preferably). A degree level education with a relevant professional qualification in social work and active Social Work England registration. Experience of chairing complex multi agency and multi-professional meetings. Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships whilst providing constructive challenge if required. Excellent communication skills and experience of keeping and maintaining records. Knowledge of relevant theory that informs practice delivery and statutory legislation and national policy drivers that will affect children's services. Strong organisational abilities including: time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving and multitasking.About our benefits

Start dates: Achieving for Children have meaning successful candidates join on a set date in each month. Candidates are advised to prepare for this should a job offer be accepted to ensure eligible continuous service is not affected.
