Water Sampling Team Supervisor supports the Delivery Manager and the wider water quality delivery team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of water sampling for our key client,

About You:


As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as Team Supervisor is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients.

You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.

The office base location is
Kirkintilloch.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead fieldbased staff with a strong focus on safely delivering high quality outputs, cost efficiencies, to meet the programme of work.
  • Responsible for the H&S of your teams by ensuring compliance with all RPS Safe Systems of Works, Risk Assessments, all relevant client processes e.g. DOMS / NWH, incident reporting and H&S performance objectives (BEST/Near Miss/Hazards/Weekly vehicle inspections/Onsite RA).
  • Provide support to your line & senior managers to ensure projects are delivered on site to meet client and business expectations.
  • Awareness of quality, budgets and business reputation and responsibilities required.
  • Ensure that all sitebased work in undertaken in line with specific client processes, standards, and specifications.
  • Communication with your team is key. You will be expected to communicate effectively through regular catch ups which includes monthly one to one's and weekly team meetings.
  • Line management responsibilities will include, but not limited to, supporting direct reports through the POD annual cycle (Performance, Learning and Development), approving timesheets and leave, resource planning for delivery of project tasks within your subteam, recruitment, carrying out Incident Investigations and ensuring corrective actions are complete.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications required.

  • Preferable HNC level or equivalent demonstrable experience. Ideally some STEM focus in learning.
  • Water network and industry sitebased experience.
  • Experience of leading and line managing field teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to supervise and mentor fieldbased staff with a strong focus on RPS behaviours as well as the technical aspects of the role.

  • Risk Assessment
  • First Line Management Training
  • Incident Investigation
  • NRSWA Supervisor's Card, including Unit 2 signing, lighting, and guarding.

  • C.A.L.M
