We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.
We're growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. We're now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.
What you'll be doing
In short, you'll be planning, capturing and editing a range of video and photo content to bring the Runna brand to life. You will work across a variety of areas, including documenting races and events, producing social content, shooting in-app material and working with our amazing ambassadors and coaches on shoot days. This role not only includes capturing and editing the content but also taking ownership of the creative briefs.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality video and photographic content based on self-directed briefs.
- Attending events and races with the Runna team and take ownership of capturing the day.
- Working with our amazing coaching team to create engaging coaching reels and training content.
- Collaborating with our ambassador team to create exceptional social content on shoot days and at ambassador events.
Requirements
We're looking for someone that loves...- Capturing Moments: You excel in all things video, from finding the perfect angle, nailing the perfect settings and crafting stunning compositions every time.
- Telling Stories: You have a talent for telling captivating stories through your clear and strong direction and succinct editing.
- Staying Organised: You plan clear and efficient shoots to streamline everyone's time whilst managing multiple projects on the go, keeping all content tagged and stored effectively.
- Working with Others: You are excited about the idea of teaming up with coaches, ambassadors, and other team members to bring creative ideas to life.
- Being Creative: You're always thinking of new ways to improve our visual content and keep our audience engaged.
- Flexible: Given a big part of your role will be to capture Runna events and races, we're looking for someone happy to travel and flex their hours to evenings and weekends when needed. In practice, we expect that this will mean you will likely start later some days and/or take your 'weekend' on a weekday to make this work. We'll ensure you're comfortable with hotels and travel arrangements when this is needed.
- Running: We need someone who understands and loves running - you get what it means to be a runner and can create content that reflects our community and inspires and motivates runners everywhere.
We care more about you looking at the 'We're looking for someone that loves...' section and thinking 'Wow I was born to do this job' than years of experience. That said, we do need you to have demonstrable experience creating video and photo content in (ideally) a running/sports setting. As part of the application process, we'll expect you to send us a portfolio of imagery and video content that you've produced that reflects the type of content you will be producing in this role.

Benefits
Benefits and optionsWe offer a salary of £31.5k - £50k/year depending on experience plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.
We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
- Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days in our office in Vauxhall)
