The mainpurpose of the Deputy Service Manageris to assist in the operational managementof the service and its staff whist promoting the health safetywellbeing social and personal development of eachtenant.

The mainresponsibilities of the Deputy ServiceManager:

Tobe an excellent role model motivator and assist with the managementof the staffteam

Topromote and maintain positive workingrelationships.

Assist in thedevelopment and outcome based person centred support plans fortenants.

Toassist in the implementation and monitoring of systems which ensurethe autismspecific nature of the serviceprovided.

Toassist in the preparation ofreports.

Toassist in the planning preparation and lead regular staffmeetings.

Toensure Safeguarding Procedures are fully understood andfollowed.

Tobe trained in level 2 Safeguarding Adults at risk ofabuse

Tohave a working knowledge of health and safety issues within theservice.

Aspart of the senior team provide oncall service across the week andbe able to work flexible hours according to the needs of theservice

Developexcellent relationships with community services such as neighboursand tenants local GP practices health care professionals andspecial community policesupport

Toensure that a safe secure and structured living environment isprovided and maintained to each tenant which consistently respondsto their autism mental and physical healthneeds

Toensure tenants rights are respected and adhered to byall

Todemonstrate best practice in the support and management ofindividual s autism challenging behaviour mental health and othercomorbidities.

Assist theService Manager to deliver programmes in the specific areas of careleisure and recreational activities both within the service and inthecommunity.

Assist in thesafe storage ordering and administration ofmedication.

Support tenantsto manage their weekly finances and benefits withinprotocols

Toencourage open and positive relationships betweenstaff

Toassist the manager in ensuring that appropriate staffing levels aremaintained at alltimes.

Assist withstaff supervision to help monitor and evaluate the standards oftraining and provision within theservice.

We arelooking for a DeputyServiceManager with some ofthe following skills andattributes:

  • Rightto Work in theUK
  • Arewilling to work as part of a team and within protocols andguidelines
  • Haveworked with Autistic adults but not essential as full trainingprovided
  • Havea high level of commitment and flexibility towards servicedelivery
  • Previousexperience in a similarrole
  • Althoughnot essential a clean driving license would beadvantageous
