We have an exciting opportunity for a Superstore Team Leader to join our friendly team at Barnardo's Coventry Superstore


This is a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader who is passionate, motivated, and keen to help raise funds to support the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK.

We are looking for someone who has retail experience, good at communicating, a keen eye for sorting through donated stock and enjoys working with the public, if this sounds like you please apply

Hours: 40 hours

Permanent - full time

Some of the Key Responsibilities

  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Visual Merchandising
  • In the absence of the SSM complete the daily commercial review to ensure you maintain the highest standards of merchandising and customer service.
  • Support the implementation of seasonal campaigns and promotional activity in line with the Stores and Marketing Activity Plan.
  • Maximise revenue from donated stock by optimising volume, merchandising and price according to the Barnardo's price guide.
  • Support the training and development of all colleagues to enable them to perform their roles to the best of their ability.
  • Achieve and maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and cleanliness throughout the Store, including the sales floor and off sales areas.
  • Provide a safe environment that protects all colleagues, and the public.
  • 3 years' experience with Retail environment with some supervisory experience.
  • Broad knowledge of Retail operations & commercial environments.
  • Experience of working with Diverse teams.
  • Supporting tore manager in managing Budget.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams.
  • Supporting Store Manager in leading and engaging teams
  • Supporting the delivery of operational excellence within environment.
The Retail section consists of more than 700 Barnardo's shops across the UK.

These high-street stores are reliant on donations from the public and corporate supporters and generate funds from the sale of these donated items.

There are a wide range of shops, from traditional charity stores to book shops and furniture. The Trading division produces and sells a range of products, including cards and gifts.
