Head of Development - Biotech


I am currently working with an exciting small-medium Biotech based in Glasgow who are looking for a Head of Development to join the team on a permanent basis.


With one lead asset in Clinical Phase II, in addition to a healthy product pipeline, this is a well-funded small organisation who have doubled in size in the last year with a focus on pioneering therapeutics to master the microbiome.


Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Development will provide technical leadership for the development function and formulation activities, delivering an API and drug product pipeline.


We are ideally looking for someone who has proven drug product formulation and development experience working within a similar leadership role within R&D and be a specialist in this area.


You must have:

  • At least 5 years in experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in in product formulation, specification understanding and setting and technical troubleshooting and understanding.
  • Experience with an extensive range of dosage forms, including tablets, sachets, capsules, and liquids.
  • Track record of taking a concept and translating it though development to being a finished drug product.
The role offers a good all round package (including share options) and some home working flexibility.
